The Way The Fairies Went

If you are into architecture, then the way the fairies went is a fantastic place to visit. The pyramids were created in 1987 by James Scanlon to celebrate the winning of the national tidy towns competition.

The sculpture sits perfectly in the land, and everything feels natural. You can get some inspiration from James’s work if you are an architect. It is a masterpiece, to say the least. But, even if you aren’t an architect, the way to the fairies is a place you should visit if you are in Sneem.

Staigue Stone Fort

One of the most visited places near Sneem, Staigue Stone Fort was built between 300 and 400 AD and was a defensive fort for the rulers during that time.

This fort was built using raw stone, which makes it very interesting to see. You can see all the craftsmanship and effort it took to make this fort with limited technology.

It is genuinely a great stone fort to visit and a must for people visiting Sneem. Check out my web page on the fort here.
